The Guntur District Cooperative Central Bank Ltd., Guntur is having 33 branches with One extension counter, 167 PACS catering to the needs of around 3,00,000 farmers.
The total deposits of Bank as on 31.03.2011 stood at Rs. 301.60 crores and as on 31.03.2010 Rs. 277.90 crores.The total loan outstandings of the Bank as on 31.03.2011 stood at Rs. 512.55 crores and the position as on 31.03.2010 was Rs. 334.38 crores. The total borrowings of the Bank as on 31.03.2010 stood at Rs. 311.50 crores and as on 30.03.2010 Rs. 209.78 crores.The total investments of the Bank as on 31.03.2011 were Rs.198.30 crores and as on 30.03.2010 Rs. 220.57 crores.
The Bank has not defaulted to APCOB and also not defaulted in maintenance of CRR & SLR during the year.The Agricultural Gold loans are being given at 7 % and Non- Agricultural gold loans at 12 %. The Agricultural Gold loan limit has been raised from Rs.2.00 lakhs to Rs.3.00 lakhs and per gram rate is Rs.1300/- or 80 % of Bullion value. For Non –Agrl. Gold Loan the limit has been raised from Rs.2.00 lakhs to Rs.5.00 lakhs and per gram rate is Rs. 1400/- or 80 % of Bullion value.
The total gold loan outstanding as on 31.03.2010 was Rs.109.86 crores (Out of which Agrl. Gold loans – Rs.76.40 crores and Non-Agrl. Rs. 33.46 crores). As on 31.03.2011 the total Gold Loan outstanding is Rs.169.66 crores (Out of which Agrl. Gold Loans Rs.99.76 crores and Non-Agrl. Gold loans Rs.69.90 crores).
The Bank has recently introduced a new scheme “Cash Credit against mortgage of property. Under this scheme the Bank finances Rs. 6.00 lakhs in Tenali and Guntur and Rs. 4.00 lakhs in other municipalities and upto Rs. 2.00 lakhs in Villages of Guntur District.
The Bank is providing cash credit facility to primary Weavers Cooperative Societies under NABARD refinance scheme and from own funds. At present the Bank has extended this facility to 30 regular PWCS with an amount of Rs. 305.60 lakhs.
